So unlinking the desktop from DB was a step to clear things and make sure there were no clashing files. So he suggested to systematically go through each type of file to see which was the culprit. Yes, I went through the steps to unlink and reset and re-link etc with Tech Support and he suggested that there was a corrupt file somewhere that was causing Acc.
#Dropbox for mac not syncing manual#
Run manual sync on Ipad.Ipad does 2 tasks and shows complete and closes sync screen without hanging at final task this time. So i created new highlight, ran manual sync on desktop. Looked at timestamp on highlight file in DB and it is 23 minutes old. Final Task screen closes - no highlights updated.
Pressed Home button and opened Acc again on Ipad. Manually sync from Ipad and screen sticks again on final task. Open Acc again and manually sync with DB. Back to Acc desktop, I re-link to DB, program immediately crashes. User notes and user tools appear to be synced. again and the "Syncing with DB" screen disappears. Press the Home button on the Ipad and then Acc. Screen showed 4 tasks and got to Final Task and then hung for more than 5 minutes. so that I could link the Ipad and as soon as I hit okay on the user preferences screen for unlinking DB, the program crashes. Added a few highlights and user notes, and a user tool. Removed all the old syncable files and cleared DB,. We managed to get the two devices to sync, but there seems to be at least one file that is causing some sort of problem. I just finished with Tech Support and they are aware of the problem. This is happening without any other devices linked to dropbox (DB). Using Win 10 (1607) - Syncing with desktop has been fine, except when I turn on or off sync, the program crashes.
